Jersey County Courthouse / Jerseyville, IL
Historic integrity with modern efficiencies
Built in 1893, this historic masonry courthouse sits at the center of town
and serves as the hub of activity for the entire county.
After a century of activity, the building required extensive renovation. Some
areas were upgraded, others were rebuilt entirely. Marvin Windows and Doors
handled the replacement of original wood window and door units throughout.
Project Highlights
- Marvin partnered with the county through the important process of
assessing and measuring each window and customizing individualized full-frame
replacement and insert products.
- Marvin tailored the panning system to incorporate an energy panel. By
doing this, the leaded glass windows were not only preserved and protected,
but were now energy efficient.
- On the lower level, multiple Ultimate Double Hung windows were used so
that the windows and doors created a unified design.
